Why Most Adults Never Learn Arabic
Three problems stop most working adults from reaching fluency.
No Time to Study
Most Arabic programs assume hours of daily study. A working adult juggling a job, university, or family can't realistically follow that pace, so the course gets abandoned within weeks.
Too Complicated
Many courses throw complex terminology at beginners immediately. Struggling with Arabic usually isn't a sign of low ability, it's a sign the course wasn't paced for a part-time adult learner.
No Clear Path
Free YouTube videos, apps, and blog posts answer isolated questions but rarely connect into a sequence. Without a clear route from level 1 to fluency, motivation fades fast.
How Kitaab Academy Solves These Problems
Fits Your
Schedule
Live classes require only 2 hours per week. Class recordings and office hours let you keep up in a flexible way when your work or family life don't allow you to attend live sessions.
Clear 7-Level Roadmap
Every student moves through the same sequenced curriculum, from basic grammar through independent hadith reading, instead of jumping between disconnected lessons.
Hands-On
Practice
Each class pairs short lessons with interactive practice. An instructor corrects your pronunciation and grammar in real time, which speeds up progress compared to solo study.
Focused
Classroom
Every session stays centered on Arabic grammar, vocabulary, and Quranic application, so your limited study time goes toward real progress instead of tangents.
Hear From Our Students
“Alhamdulillah, this course was an incredible investment to connect with the Quran. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to truly understand the precise linguistic nuances that get lost in English translations. Arhum is a master instructor—clear, precise, and exceptionally generous with his time outside of class to ensure practical mastery.”

When I found out about Kitaab Academy, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to learn Arabic while meeting the demands of my work schedule. Our instructor is fantastic and always available to answer questions and assist outside of the class hours. I already feel like I’ve learnt so much over the past three months and can’t wait to see where I’ll be. If you want to learn and are looking for a flexible way to incorporate Arabic into your day to day life, look no more!

Resident Physician, Stanford
“One concern I had going into this class is if I’ll have the energy to sit through an hour and a half of class after a long day at work. The answer is yes. The class is actually pretty fun and engaging because it’s just a short lecture where you can interrupt anytime with questions and then group work where we get to practice while the instructor comes around to check in on us every few minutes. I literally cannot praise this class enough!”

What You'll Learn: The 7-Level Arabic Roadmap
Your path with Kitaab Academy unfolds across 7 connected levels, each combining theory with real application.
Level 1: Grammar Foundations
You build the core grammar foundations every Arabic student needs, while memorizing the most common vocabulary in the Qur'an.
Level 2: First Arabic Text
You read your first Arabic text through the story of Ibrahim from Qasas Al-Nabiyeen by Al-Nadwi, advancing your grammar concepts along the way.
Level 3: Noun-Based Translation
You read the story of Yusuf while transitioning to translating noun-based sentences, learning verb forms, and memorizing 500+ Arabic vocabulary words.
Level 4: Unvoweled Texts
You read the story of Nuh and begin reading unvoweled texts, identifying grammar concepts (iʿrāb) as you go.
Level 5: Tafseer & Grammar Mastery
You read the tafsir of Surah Maryam from Safwa Al-Tafaaseer by Al-Sabuni and cover Matn Al-Ajrumiyyah, strengthening every grammar concept covered so far.
Level 6: Seerah & Speaking Practice
You read the Seerah of the Makkan period by Al-Nadwi while practicing speaking Arabic.
Level 7: Independent Mastery
You complete the Seerah by reading the Madinan period and master irregular sarf (morphology), preparing you for independent classical reading.
A Full Curriculum, Not Just Grammar
Reading Arabic accurately is the foundation of this program, but real comprehension goes further.
Nahw (Grammar Rules)
Sentence structure, case endings, and word order form the backbone of every level.
Sarf (Word Patterns)
Root-and-pattern morphology shows you how a single root generates dozens of related words.
Vocabulary Building
Weekly vocabulary drills target the words that appear most often across the Quran and classical texts.
Tafsir Basics (Meaning)
Once you read a passage fluently, your instructor walks through its meaning, so recitation becomes real comprehension.
Reading Practice
Guided practice with unvocalized text builds the independent reading skill most courses skip entirely.
Speaking and Application
Live correction during every class turns memorized rules into practical, applied Arabic.
